France 2001
Here are the pictures from our Trip to France. Thanks for dropping by.

Bayeux

City of Bayeux — Bayeux was the first town in France to be liberated from enemy occupation on 7th June 1944, and the 3rd city we visited during our trip. We came here on Sunday, so most of the shops were closed. You can see from these pictures that the old part of this town has a lot of character.

Notre-Dame Cathedral — One of several Notre-Dame Cathedrals in France. In my opinion, this was the most spectacular cathedral we saw in France. I think I liked it more than the Notre-Dame in Paris - probably because it was the first really large cathedral we saw, and also because it wasn't crowded at all, so we had full access to the entire church. This one was built during the 11th century. The Romanesque tower is over 75 meters high.
